These little guys almost, almost give me everything I could ask for from a 3rd party Cheetor. They look great, and pack a lot of intricacy into such a a small package. They also have all the articulation you could ask for, short of movable fingers, which you'd have to move with tweezers at this scale. An unexpected bonus is that they seem to be about the right size to scale with a lot of other Transformers, bearing in mind how much smaller Maximals are. But, unfortunately, there are a few issues. The instructions seem to say that the gun should be held by the round-holed fists with the tail as a handle, but that just doesn't work; it can kind of sit there, but there's no friction, and if there was I'd worry about wearing down the paint on the tail. Fortunately, you can twist the tail around and hold the gun in the slotted fists anyway, although this is a little model-breaking. Each of them comes with two faces, but I'm not at all sure what the other one represents, whether it's an expression, a more robotic face or what. The beast mode hind legs are a mess of kibble, but I'll give them a pass on this, because I can't name a version of pre-Transmetal Cheetor that doesn't have this exact problem. And of course, if they were sold individually, I wouldn't have bought the black one. Overall: I love them. They aren't perfect, but I'm very happy to have them. If the gun issue is fixed (and maybe replace the black one with Tigatron) I'd probably buy them again.

I was never into Beast Wars because I stopped after G1. However, Robot Toys got me interested after they release their Optimus Primal and now I'm a fan. I bought their Megatron as well so when they announced Cheetor and Shadow Panthor, I was really excited. Of course I'm no blind fan. The design and toy must be good and the price must be right. On the price side, I think it's very reasonable at $25/figure. As for the design, I love it. I can't believe they made such a good looking figure in both modes, in such a small size. Anyway, to the review. First, I have to say the plastic quality and paint is great. Transformation is easy and fun. I love all the accessories that come with it, with different hands and robot and animal faces. Articulation is decent though not the best. Unfortunately, it's not perfect. The guns cannot be adjusted in the fist as it can only point in one direction. Second, the shoulders that hold each arms could tab in a bit tighter. In all honesty, some of the tolerance of the tabs are a bit loose. Despite those minor gripes, I'm still very impressed with these figures. If you are a Legends collector and a Beast Wars fan, then this is a no brainer. I'm not a Beast Wars fan and even I think these are great figures so that is saying something.
