Bought this to go with my Newage Dino mode. I always feel that Magic Square does a better job than Newage at making their Transformers look very toon accurate and this is no exception. I'm glad that they fixed some of their design flaws that their other two Dinobots releases had as the tabs for the arms are tight now and don't pop out so easily. The price is $10 cheaper than the other two releases so that is always welcomed. Still I have a loose leg joint, but that was the only QC issue on him. The good is that the material used on him is getting better and better, though it's still not on Newage's level. Transformation is easier, but still not that much fun. If you like the clean look of the robot and dino mode without any pins or screws and don't mind the steps to getting there, then this is for you. That is one thing Magic Square does better than Newage, making such a clean cartoon accurate looking figure. Articulation is really good and will allow you to make a lot of dynamic poses. The bad is that despite the improvement of the material, it still feels flimsy and cheap compare to Newage. Transformation is still not as fun. The fit and finish is not as good as Newage. Even at the higher price with Newage, I find Newage is a better purchase. Newage is superior in every ways except for the the clean and cartoon accurate looks in robot mode. I find Newage dino mode to be better looking than this, though less cartoon accurate of course. My recommendation. While they are both very good figures, if you can only buy one, then go with the Newage, even though it's $10 more. You won't regret it. If you display your figure in robot mode most of the time, don't transform it too often, and you want the most cartoon accurate figure out there, then Magic Square's is for you. If you, like me, can afford both and want one with a clean robot mode and one with a nice dino mode, then buy both. I wanted a lean looking robot mode and that is what I got in Magic Square so I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
